1st Day of Pre K!

Monday August 13th was the first day of Pre K for Caden and Maggie and they were so excited for many, many reason:

• Their teacher is Ms. Lauren, who they have had before and could not wait to has as a teacher again!
• This means they are that much closer to turning 5 - which is a BIG thing for Maggie, she absolutely cannot wait to turn the ripe old age of 5
• It means they are closer to getting to ride the school bus, again a milestone for Maggie, she really wants to ride the school bus, she hasn't said anything about learning in school but wants to ride the bus!
• They no longer have a cubbie to put their things in, they have a hook and that means they needed a big kid backpack.  In their minds, they are no longer babies

I love that they are excited fro Pre K and that they are excited about their future, this means for me I have less than a year to prepare for when they go to Kindergarten :( I am not sure I will ever be ready for my little ones to grow up but I am realistic in knowing I cannot stop it either. 

When I left the house that morning they were not in the mood for mommy to take their picture, daddy got them to cooperate for the most part once they got to school.

To my big kids - you are growing into amazing little people, you have a bright outlook on the world and want to do great things, I hope you never loose that drive or vision.  You may have come into this world six weeks early but we would never know, you are smart, funny and know more about what you want than I ever imagined. 
I hope Pre K is a great year for you and that you learn all sort of new things!
