We were in California for national pageant with Maggie and we had a great time using the week to celebrate the kids birthday at Disneyland.
I am proud of my kids and cannot believe six years have gone by since that day I was given the gift of becoming their mom. They have changed our lives for the better and challenge Matt and I to be better everyday. It is not always easy and it is not always lollipops and rainbows but we are blessed beyond belief to be their parents and to watch these two grow into little people
Caden:
Caden you are a gentle and shy soul yet but developing to be a more outgoing person since starting school. You love hanging out with Papaw Casey and they two of you on your adventures continue to amaze us. You are doing well in soccer, you are starting basketball and really cannot wait for baseball to get here.
Your grades are wonderful, we are very proud of you. You conquered fear of rides at Disneyland and have shown that you are truly growing up to make your own choices. You are a wonderful supporter of your brother and sisters in all that they do. You play well with Cale on most days and still have a soft spot for Mallory. I wondered how you and Maggie would do in class together and it does not see to phase you that you are even together. You definitely love your twin but are ready to see what you can do on your own.
Caden, I am proud to be your mom and I thank you for coming into our world and teaching us so much. You have a way you like things and try our patience at times but I know that you have your reasons for what you want and how you want it, someday we will know why. Your toothless grin makes me laugh. We love you buddy and hope you had a FABULOUS 6th Birthday, I cannot believe 6 years have gone by. My little NICU baby is growing and growing big. I love you more than you will ever know.
Maggie:
Maggie, my little girl with a HUGE imagination who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. You are an independent little girl who since starting school is trying to go up way to fast. You want to know what is next in life and how quickly you can get there. You are doing very well in school and do not like to get anything wrong, you want perfection on all that you do. You are in your 4th year of tap and ballet, you are doing very well and I cannot believe how far you girls have come in just a few short years. You are enjoying soccer and scored your first goal this year but do not any longer want to play on a team that has both boys and girls on it, you cannot wait for an all girls softball team this summer. You are fast to make friends and always play with Mallory while at home but fights do happen as they will with sisters. We have seen you grow over this week at pageant, you are definitely picking up confidence during this experience, I could not be more proud of you and what you are accomplishing. My littlest baby girl, I cannot believe you are 6 years old, I was not sure I would be able to take a baby home that day 6 years ago and surely did not know what to do with one as little as you were but you were patience with daddy and I, you taught us more about being parents then we knew we had to learn. I love you little me, I can promise you we will test each other's patience over the many years left together but I hope you know I am always here for you and love you more than you will ever know.
My babies are growing up, they are growing into little people who one day will conquer the world, for now Matt and I are doing our best to show them the world and to teach them right from wrong. The world can be a scary place but we are doing the best we know how and when these little people show excitement, accomplishments or love on their face to us or anyone we know we are doing something right.
I hope you two had an AMAZING birthday at Disneyland, I could not have thought of a better way to celebrate your Thanksgiving birthday, we are very thankful for you both. We are already planning your next Thanksgiving birthday and cannot wait to take you all to NYC!
Happy Birthday 6th Caden & Maggie - we love you!
